Do you have an internal critic? What is its favorite phrase? When does it speak the loudest? And if it were a person, what would it look like? How would you describe its personality?

I have searched through the thousand voices that echo through my head, and here are a few worth sharing.

What is will look like in person someone always smiling and it speaks the loudest when I want to give up or when I think I cannot get through something.

Personally, I think I am far harder on myself than my internal critic is. It is more like my best friend, calming me down in a variety of situations: when I am doing something wrong, when I fail, when I say too much. It has a much softer personality, and I love how it silently reminds me that it is okay to feel, and okay to fail sometimes. The harshest part of its advice is always, "You can; you could have approached it differently."

It builds so much vision in my mind and keeps telling me to push myself more, even on days when I did not properly understand things, or made mistakes, like reading for an exam and not fully remembering what I had read. It reminds me to breathe; it reminds me of the many other times I read, wrote things down properly and scored higher; it comforts me with a constant reminder that things happen, and that is okay.

It is not perfect, and it sometimes goes on a negative spree; but its positive side wins every time.

It is this big force that pushes me, tells me not to give up and that things will be okay, and makes constant promises that push me to reach things I know are beyond my limits.
It reminds me only of positive quotes; like "Allah cannot burden us with more than we can handle," which means that no matter the path you are on, you can get through it; you wouldn't be there if you couldn't. Or "your vision has to be bigger than where you are presently," and you shall always get to where you want to be.

Another one it holds close is that we always get what we want, unless at some point we stopped wanting it; maybe we gave up on the wait, or maybe we found out it isn't a place we really want to associate ourselves with. Aside from other factors, we get what we want.

It also reminds me to say less, and to listen and observe more, always keeping me in check.

It helps me regulate my emotions , why were you so pissed, why did are so happy, why are you so restless.
We tend to create a bullet point that gets us through things together.

Thank you, girl, for bringing me this far; I don't think I have ever thanked you for always reminding me that I can get through this, because I always have.
