Dear erh.germany@erh.germany, Perhaps an East Asian person like me cannot understand the seven deadly sins that form the essence of European Christian civilization.😅

As you said, my silence would be a wise act to hide my ignorance.
However, since I am a foolish and reckless person, I want to challenge your world of ideas!

If J. R. R. Tolkien had spent his energy on bringing Sauron closer to the reader, he would inevitably have had to make his character more human, and thus capable of other feelings, such as grief and fear, sadness and humor. But of course he made up a figure that created a huge gulf between himself and the observer through the insurmountable distance.

Sauron had to remain inaccessible as the absolute evil, the absolute inconceivable. He thus represents what I fear most: the stark indifference of a being to its fellow beings.

I think Sauron, who forms the main motivation for The Lord of the Rings, is similar to Faust's Mephistopheles.

Sauron created the Absolute Ring and sparked wars by stimulating the greatest desire of mankind, the lust for power.
The absolute ring owned by Bilbo does not give special power, but only has the function of transparently hiding the owner of the absolute ring.

Although the absolute ring never gives absolute power to the owner of the absolute ring, it is unreasonable for everyone to try to own the absolute ring.

Why did everyone risk their lives for the absolute ring and even cause wars?
I think the reason is that the owner of the Absolute Ring can discover other people's secrets they want to hide!

All human beings have their own sins that must be hidden, like the seven deadly sins.
If those sins were exposed, they probably could not exist!
However, the owner of the absolute ring may not reveal his secrets to others!

If I could use the power of the Absolute Ring to uncover all the secrets of erh.germany@erh.germany, I would be addicted to extreme pleasure.😅

Through the power of the Absolute Ring, I will hide my secrets and discover other people's secrets, making myself feel like a god!

Goethe's Faust, borrowing the power of Mephistopheles, wanted to rule as a god, conquering all time and space.

So, I guessed that Tolkien created the Absolute Ring and Sauron in imitation of Goethe's Faust and Mephistpheles!😄
