Remember Forest Gump? He seemed to be everywhere when anything of significance in history was happening. The same might be said of Sidney Reilly, the eponymous character in the British TV limited series, Reilly, Ace of Spies. The show is based on the life and adventures of Sidney Reilly, who was definitely a spy for the British government in the early part of the 20th century. That is the only thing definite about this man's story. He traveled through some of the most important events in European history. Whether he helped to shape that history or was only a minor player is something I cannot ascertain for sure.
Dear @agmoore !
I didn't find the movie Forrest Gump entertaining, and I didn't understand it.
I didn't understand the mindset and sensibilities of Americans as portrayed in Forrest Gump!
By the way, I wasn't very familiar with the British TV limited series Reilly, Ace of Spies.
I find British historical dramas to be truly excellent! They offer the same kind of entertainment and emotional impact as a Shakespearean play.
I recognize Shakespeare's plays as supreme masterpieces because they reveal the hidden secrets of humanity and the world!
On the other hand, American historical dramas and movies felt artificial to me due to their overly flashy visuals and commercialism.
I surmised that I would get good results if I watched the British TV limited series Reilly, Ace of Spies!
Thanks for introducing me to the British TV limited series Reilly, Ace of Spies!😄
