“Ah, wine again?” My sister asked when I picked another wine-colored material when we went shopping. I picked up the material, looked at it, then at her, and smiled. "Just let me be, hmmm," I told her. But the honest truth is I have stopped, and I no longer pretend that it's a sort of a coincidence.
Wine has been my favorite color for a long time. I so much love how wine color can be noticed without calling for attention. It's warm, deep, and I see it as comforting. When I see the color, I always feel settled. A wine outfit always makes me feel properly dressed. And using a wine curtain in a room always make the tool to feel warmer. Even on a table that has a wine notebook on it seems to have more positive vibes than the plain one beside it.
Anytime anyone asks me what makes the color beautiful for me, I always tell them that it's not how beautiful it looks. But it always has this strange way of making anything ordinary feel personal. I remembered some time ago when I went to barb my hair, and I noticed this small wine coloured table tucked beside the wall. It was slightly scratched and a bit old, but my eyes kept going to it. I guess no one seems to care about that table. But I did.
And I guess that is what I like about the color wine. It always goes around and carries the presence of quality. It is not necessarily that it's the brightest color in a space before anyone can notice its beauty.
And whenever I come across familiar shades, I always feel this bit of warmth in me before I realize the smile on my face. I have seen and come across a lot of colors in my life. But you see the wine color; it always keeps finding me
