We live in a time where a lot of behaviour gets excused with “that's just how people are or that is just the way I am” but what happens when someone is consistently selfish, turns every conversation back to themselves, and rarely considers how their actions affect others?

Do you confront them, set boundaries, distance yourself, or simply accept that that's who they are? And at what point does understanding someone's personality become an excuse for tolerating behaviour that drains you?
