Two poinsettias at $.99 each! I would have loved that. I still have last year's poinsettia. It survived the summer this year and is the only one that did. But it's not flowering, yet. Nothing offered from the Christmas cactuses either. They flowered about this time last year.

How did you process the cranberry sauce?

I remember a year or 2 after my husband died, I put away the light strings for the tree. They are tested and repaired before they go upstairs. And something like 7!! of them would not light properly the next year. Never had that happen before. Maybe 1 or 2 but not 7!

I keep the fall stuff up until after Thanksgiving. This year the tree went up really early and the week of Thanksgiving I will put the lights in the windows so I can turn them on Thanksgiving evening. But nothing else until after Thanksgiving. A sort of a nod to my husband's "law". :))
