That's one of the reasons I went to such lengths to repair my old mechanical washer. It's repairable, and does a FAR better job of washing the clothes.

I remember when my husband was going to get a new used car back in 2018. The debate was whether to get an older car he could work on, or a newer car (which is now 10 years old this year) which might have to go to the shop. Probably good he chose as he did, as he's no longer here to work on it anyways.

I have a gas stove from the 1970's that we refurbished back in 2002. It's now in need of serious work, but one can not find the parts. It's a bit of dilemma...
