I just read Netflix is increasing its price from $9.99 to $10.99 USD per month as of November on its base subscriptions. Premium service is also rising a buck.
You'll start getting notices soon to announce the change.
While still a pretty good deal, it comes as no surprise. The company plans to spend a reported 7 billion in the new year on its exclusive content plus their own production of movies and show series.
Netflix has approximately 60 million subscribers and it's profits are still steady even with increasing competition from other digital streaming services such as Apple and Amazon.
I'm willing to bet most people will keep the streaming service so they can continue to binge watch content such as Heartland :)
