Happy Monday everyone. I just returned from helping a friend move. He built a modest house on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia. Views like this are common down there
It's a very small town named Jeddore. Alot of people assume when you say you're from Nova Scotia that you fish for a living. While that's not true it is down here. Generations have made their living on the sea.
The people down here are super friendly, everyone waves at eachother driving by, even if they don't know you. The views down this region are like something out of a book. I took so many photos so I'll probably do another post later today and show you a little more of this area
Here's my friends brand-new house. It's just recently completed. There was no cable or wifi yet. I fell off the map for a couple days here
This guys 28 years old and owns his own home now. Fisherman make a good living. He's got all the toys too, two trucks, a 4 wheeler, and a boat. He works hard though, I couldn't do it I just don't have the sea legs it requires. I don't like being so far out in the ocean you can't even see the shore. Here's the view from his front yard..
He's building a road down to a dock he plans to build a boat launch. First he's got to clear some trees. I won't be helping with this, I'm not a lumberjack like 
He lives on the Atlantic Ocean. It's a very harsh area to earn a living. The waters are deep, cold and notorious for bad storms. There's many a man that have lost it all fishing on these waters
The people down here work hard and play even harder. I couldn't keep up with their rum drinking and I puked a few times in the ocean. I live on the water aswell but I'm no fisherman. I live in the city of Halifax.
I had a blast and I'm proud of my friend for all he's accomplished. I can't wait to go back once he's got himself settled. I plan on going back next summer to play on the water again.
