Heute mal anlässlich vom ersten Advent! Meine Familie und ich kommen so langsam auch in Weihnachtsstimmung. Einige Geschenke sind schon in Arbeit, andere auf dem Weg.
Ein kleines Gedicht soll euch den Tag versüßen.
Die Blumen sind verblüht im Tal, die Vöglein heimgezogen;
Der Himmel schwebt so grau und fahl, es brausen kalte Wogen.
Und doch nicht Leid im Herzen brennt: Es ist Advent!
Es zieht ein Hoffen durch die Welt, ein starkes, frohes Hoffen;
das schließet auf der Armen Zelt und macht Paläste offen;
das kleinste Kind die Ursach kennt: Es ist Advent!
Advent, Advent, du Lerchensang von Weihnachts Frühlingstunde!
Advent, Advent, du Glockenklang vom neuen Gnadenbunde!
Du Morgenstrahl von Gott gesendt! Es ist Advent!

Today is the occasion of the first Advent! My family and I are slowly getting into the Christmas spirit. Some presents are already in the works, others are on their way.
A little poem should sweeten the day for you.
The flowers have faded in the valley, the little birds have gone home;
The sky hovers so grey and pale, cold waves roar.
And yet no sorrow burns in the heart: it is Advent!
A hope runs through the world, a strong, joyful hope;
that closes the tent of the poor and makes palaces open;
