I always wanted to make my own beams or special cuts that aren't available or very expensive at a sawmill. The system described in the video is the easiest way to start you only need a 2.5+ horsepower chainsaw preferably bigger.
some basics:
- 50cc don't take a bar bigger then 50cm and cut beams, Cutting the sides of is softer wood and thinner then the core.
- 70cc you can go to 70cm bar to cut whatever you like.
- 90cc is the biggest I've seen people combine it with an 1.5meter long bar
a thinner chain cuts faster, but also breaks faster :)
