The wood above is a wild pear it becomes quite big but often dies on the inside and cracks wildly. This made it very hard for me. the piece above is actually five pieces bolted together on the bottom.
The next step is epoxy and flattening the bottom with a router jig.

I finish the day with a nice swim in a natural river the dog got tired and walked to the car himself. He decided we call it a day!
