I have a feeling that I can't shake. A feeling that I'm being molded into my parents but I'm still trying to remain different. I would never say I don't appreciate them, but they aren't who I want to be.

I am alone tonight, alone with Mollie. She is far more than what I first thought. While she sleeps I hope I can manage to sneak these words onto the paper. I don't know if I can keep my pen steady as I

It's 3 pm on a Tuesday, I had a shorter day at work but despite that I was feeling a lot more down than I wanted to. I'd been stuck in my head worried about that big question in every millennial's life.

I woke in the early morning while everyone else was tossing and turning in their sleep. Even if I was the only one who wanted to help Mollie find her man I was going to find him. I slipped out through

Greetings people Are you aware of #SteemBasicIncome also known as #SBI Check out this video presentation on Dlive which will give you a basic idea about this awesome project by Mr. @josephsavage This is

The third layer is far more civilized than I thought it would be. When I was told there was a settlement here the vision in my mind was that of grizzled men and haggard women scratching out a living

Harren Smoulder, Raptor rider, friend of the gnolls, and hero to all of mankind. My legend was shaped today in ways I could have never imagined. Today is the reason why the journal exists, why I write

I find myself in new company tonight. On the third level there is a town but it seems this layer isn't totally uninhabited by people. Once again I'm sleeping inside the lofty branches of trees as old as

This greenery is just what I needed. The trees here are even larger than the ones I once lived in. The largest I found took over two hundred paces to circle. It brings to mind the saying “Alls well that

It's only been a few hours since we set out today but we all need a break. It's been a trying morning. My right leg was ripped to shreds by flying stone but Eric's magic has me fighting fit again.

Wait, that light was supposed to be on? I've been talking for ten minutes already. So none of that...? Well I've never used one of these before! I thought you needed tapes to record on it, of course I

My feet are aching and I can't stop shivering. We spent nearly the entire day navigating steep cliffs. We've only just managed to move beneath the cloudy fog. As we were passing through it I was so sure

This short story was written to take part in Mctiller's weekly writing contest. Henry made sandwiches for dinner. After a year of failing to cook anything close to food he'd resigned himself and his son

The 24 hour short story challenge (But you'll get a little more time than that...) I am fascinated by science fiction writer Harlan Ellison writing short stories in a book store window.  He wrote

It's a strange feeling looking up at the sky from down here; so infinitely far away on the surface but from down here it almost looks like it's just at the top of the abyss. I can see the stars still blinking

Randel Tolp, interplanetary man of mystery! Some say he came screaming through a star on his way to steal from your mama. Others say he came screaming through a star after your mama beat him up. No matter

In the spirit of Curie's transparency, we wish to use this weekly section as an ongoing development blog on this community project. It will serve to communicate our progress on top of the many casual exchanges

I think I'm the only one more excited tonight than I was last night. This thin paper and waxy seal are our ticket into the abyss, and then we can truly get started. I'll happily reminisce about these past

It's very late in the evening here at Oscar's home but none of us are thinking about bedding down. Salvation certainly were successful bandits. After what we did tonight they might think twice about making

This was written to participate in a contest started by mctiller It might not fall exactly in line with the competition but I had a lot of fun putting some spin on the prompt. Please enjoy and tell me
