I have accepted a mission: to explore strange new blogs, to seek out new posts and new minnows, to boldly go where no Steemian has gone before! yes, I'm a geek...

The Mission

I will be trawling through this very platform hunting out those hidden gems, the undiscovered countries of newly arrived promising authors, freshly spawned minnows if you like. I wish to put a spotlight on those I think are deserving of a much wider audience.

@nataliejohnson describes herself as a writer, traveller and bitcoin enthusiast. Her post was suggested by @followbtcnews in my steemgig post seeking submissions for 'Hidden Gems'

She is currently at part 5 of her adventures in the Bahamas. Her posts are beautifully written and are filled with great photos of her trip along the way.

@xpency is a very new arrival but has impressed me with his dedication towards sharing and introducing the Steemit platform to Africa, and in particular to the 36 states in Nigeria.

He has so far reported on two presentations he has made, signing up more fresh Steemit users who hope to change their lives.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know @rhondak over the course of the last week or so. I have great admiration for her efforts to help prevent animal abuse, a cause very close to my heart.

Today's post was difficult to read, the unimaginable cruelty that some humans perpetrate on animals is sickening, as are the humans that excuse and cover up such behaviour. @rhondak is also a published author - as you can tell by the quality of her writing - and has several books on Amazon.
