Hello, Hive creative community! We are close to Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day for many and I came up with the idea of showing you details that you can make with your own hands to give as gifts on these dates. I know that for many people this holiday is celebrated in September, but I also have in mind that another large group considers February 14 as that special day to show all kinds of beautiful feelings that you have stored. ❤️
Today I will show you how to make a mini gift box in the shape of a heart that will serve to keep any little thing you want to give as a gift. I hope you like it very much.
MATERIALES / MATERIALS
| Español | English |
|---|---|
| Cartulina blanca (para molde) | White cardboard (for mold) |
| Cartulina de color | Colored cardboard |
| Tijeras y colbón | Scissors and glue |
| Lápiz y regla | Pencil and ruler |
| Pintura acrílica (opcional) | Acrylic paint (Optional) |
| Listón | Ribbon |
PASOS / STEPS
As you could see in the materials we will use a cardboard type paper because it is thick, but manageable and thanks to this, the work will be easy because when we shape the box, it will be easy to fold and it will not break. In this case, I chose watercolor paper because it is also a resistant paper and it was the one I had within my reach.
After choosing the paper, we will proceed to use the pencil and the ruler to make the mold as follows:
El molde está con las medidas que yo usé, pero pueden añadirle mas centímetros si desean la caja mas grande, eso lo dejo a su criterio.
The mold is with the measurements I used, but you can add more centimeters if you want the box bigger, I leave that to your discretion.
Now, after making the mold, we cut it all out.
This point is optional, but for this I added colored cardboard in the materials, because it is also possible to cut out the mold, put it on top of the cardboard and cut the shape with a scalpel if you want to make the box in a different color.
After finishing with the above, we will proceed to fold each of the parts of the box (except for the hearts) inwards, in this way:
Como pudieron ver, recorté algunas partes del molde, luego les explico porqué.
As you could see, I cut out some parts of the mold, I will explain why later.
We continue with the most difficult part for me, which is to glue everything together. It should look like this:
To glue everything together, I simply folded all the parts to fit the heart and the slots, folded them inwards to be able to glue them together. The side I cut out would be the top of the box, where the lid would go, which would be the other heart.
This is how it would look on the top and bottom, but you have the option to paint and decorate it as you like. I left it like this because I was trying it out and I really liked it.
I recommend you to make the mold and then transfer it to another paper, because I feel that this way it would look better than painted.
Finally, you can add any kind of decoration on the bottom to fill and put the gift on top as I show you and that's it!
Gracias por leer y observar. Espero traerles muy pronto más cositas para que puedan obsequiar y/o coleccionar. Nos vemos!!
