Pleasure to be here on DIY, it's actually my first time and I have been amazed by many great minds that share the projects and ideas over the Internet. I have only come across DIY community just a few days ago when exploring Hive and I am so happy to be among you great people.
Today, I thought I would attempt an easy craft tutorial and made this paper flower for kids. What surprised me the most was how fast and enjoyable it is to come up with a piece of art from the most basic of materials a and tools. I really enjoyed the most when my little nice were waiting for the flower to be complete. The smile on her face tell it all.
The steps I took
First I got my cardboard paper ready and cutting into two equal part
Then I had to fold it in a such a way it has this wve like shape
Then I used my scissors to cut out the tip to make it have a sharp tip
Then I went on bending and using gum to hold the two together
So make it cutie I had to cut out a different cardboard paper and draw a smiling sun on it
Then I gum the smiling sun to the flower and added a stick and some flowers and here we go
I am looking forward reading even more about DIY and coming up with new projects to work on. It just goes on and on and I’ve come to really admire the creative and knowledgeable contributors who post information to do it yourselfers.
For someone who has never attempted DIY like myself, I hope this persuades you to start giving it a go. You never know what great arts you are going to invent! I am very excited as to what I can create and hopefully comment/post for this great community. Here we go : let the crafting adventures start!
