Today I want to share with us my recent drawing which I titled “The Pessimist”. I made this piece from a very deep place and I will be sharing my thoughts exactly below a little poem I wrote while making this piece…
“I see the world in twos
Blue and brown I exhibit
I tried to stay positive,
But I cant help thinking of the negative, Its not my fault the world treats me unjustly,
It ended up shaping me,
Making me who I am,
A Pessimist.
I made this drawing to have two colors to signifies the two sides. Being a pessimist is not a choice, it’s what happens due to circumstances of life most of the time. And the way it happens, you can’t even help it. When you’ve received so much disappointment, you see the world in black and white or on this case blue and brown. I made this piece to see things from a Pessimist view and I’m able to create this from my own view cus I am one.
The drawing was made on procreate on my iPad with the help of Apple pen.
