Hello everyone,
This morning I present to you my recent drawing which is a drawing of Daniel Radcliffe. Most of the people I draw, after drawing them I read about them to know them more. Ordinarily I knew him as Harry potter’s actor who did a fantastic job playing that role. The movie made me fell inlove with his acting skills as he was excellent with Harry Potter. After reading about him, one thing struck me and that’s the fact that he has developmental coordination disorder and yet he acts so well. He once said he finds writing and even tying his shoelace being a problem but that didn’t stop him from being the star we know today.
That brings me to a conclusion that the fact that we are bad at something doesn’t mean we can’t be great at something else. One just have to realize one’s path. I just wish Africans will embrace that more. I’m pretty sure if he was an African and finds writing difficult, the parents would have been so focused on that (as school is the most important thing to them) and miss out on his acting skills. Well things are now changing slowly, positively and I’m glad for that.
The drawing was done on pelican paper using graphite pencil for the initial sketch, charcoal pencil and charcoal dust to complete the drawing.
