It's as though I'm drowning,
Helpless and scared,
My hands reaching out,
Hoping to be caught,
But I know my help lies within,
Within me is Salvation.
Beautiful morning everyone,
It's been so long I posted one of my drawings and trust me I've made quite a lot. This is the first piece I'll be sharing with you all this year and I'm super excited to. These past months has been the most challenging and I just channelled all the energy, feelings, emotions and thoughts into my drawings. This particular piece was born out of my feelings at that time. The title of this piece is Drowning within myself which was a feeling I assume not only I feel at some point in our lives. It's as if I'm sinking with no help and the hardest part of it is, no one can help because they don't even know how to. They have no clue of what you're passing through and how you're feeling thus they might not even know the intensity of your feelings. At the end of the day, the only person that can help is yourself. Within us lies Salvation. That's simply what this art is saying.
I actually use my hand as a reference photo for that piece and I loved the drawing process. The art style I used is scribbling using a pen like brush on procreate. The scribble style is something I enjoy and love so much simply because the drawing the lines pull me into another world. It allows me to travel outside the space I'm currently in within myself. This piece happens to be the first art I've sold this year and it makes me happy because it means others can relate to this feeling too and I'm not alone. You can look it up here.
