In my place of work, we have had issues in the past that has made everyone to desire a positive change. In our management, job executions and general reforms in the Institute.
With the emergence of our new Registrar/CEO, various committees were set up and inaugurated today. I happen to be in one of the committees to organise our 11th Mandatory Continuous Professional Development (MCPD) Workshop slated for November, 2018 for all Chartered Chemists in Nigeria and abroad.
This is the first time I am in such committee. Previously I would do almost 45% percent of the job even when I was not the desk officer for the job.
I am glad now that things are begining to turn around for me because it was like a case of "monkey dey work, baboo dey chop". If you understand what I mean.
I hope with the new government in my office, they would get to appreciate my excellent, hard and smart work and reward them accordingly.
I always believe to put in my best because they will speak for me even when I am not there to defend or speak for myself.
I am grateful for my Director to have remembered to nominate me for the job, to represent my department.
You may not understand how happy I am. I know it is a call to serve but not behind the scene anymore with someone else taking the credit.
I tell you, diligence has its reward. And never give up or play down on your standards when it comes to service delivery.
It has paid off for me today.
Thank you for reading.
I am @gloeze.
