Hey, @janton.
I'm actually trying to avoid working on it, but that's not going to last long. My wife is doing the networking and work searching for me (she talked to someone we know yesterday).
HIVE shooting way up would be nice. Until tax time. At any rate, if HIVE were to jump up and then bottom at say around $4 for several weeks, that would work. Two to three weeks worth of a power down would be very helpful. :)
I've tried to develop a blog on my own before HIVE. Isn't that easy, and since I'm all over the board with topics, it gets worse. Plus, I'm not that big a fan of advertising or affiliate links—clutters up the page. I'd have to have my own merchandise to sell or something. Anyway, been there, done that.
I think part of it was the lack of time. Part of it was not really having much to say. Part of it was the same old same old with HIVE—some people just churn post after post about the same thing and low to mid double digit HTU every time. Me, I bounce around a lot, depending on if a curation trail hits or not. I certainly don't begrudge those people, but it is a factor. Right now, finance and development posts are the big winners, and I don't develop and don't really write that much about finance. There's enough people doing it.
I'm trying to get three posts a week in, minimum. I think the spacing helps. There are still those with larger accounts who don't like to upvote someone every post, depending on the frequency. I'm averaging about two curation trails a week, and maybe one or two whale hits every other week. So, it's not consistent, but it's something.
