Hey, bryan-imhoff@bryan-imhoff.

I've watched both episodes a few times now just because I like the whole sitcom period pieces. For that reason, I'm okay with the slow buildup, but it would have been a "What the what?!?" moment if there had only been the one episode and I would have to wait until next week to see if there's any more clues. How did we all survive watching episodic television until the next week before streaming?!?

re: W in Sword

Well, that explains things a little more, I guess, but I don't know. I'm not that keen on movie alterations from the comics, unless they make sense and actually enhance the storytelling, so I guess we'll have to see. I don't know that much about SWORD anyway. I've been trying to track down that logo in the actual comics and haven't come across it yet.

It made sense for Nick Fury to be up in space creating SWORD as a defense against offworld threats. I guess you can still have a base in space for onworld threats, but whatever. I'm still hoping we're not jumping straight into House of M before we have mutantkind well established.

re: Hydra fortress

I did not see that the first two or three times until you pointed it out. I had to go looking for it. Very interesting. It's just sitting there, very faint, doing nothing!

I didn't mention it in the post, but there's something else that's kind of subtle like that which I did notice. It's when Wanda picks up the helicopter out of the bush. She then looks back over her shoulder at one of the upper story windows of her own house. Its a very curious and deliberate thing to do, so I have to believe there's something to it.

Is that the children's room perhaps? Is she seeing something before it happens? After it happened? We still don't know how actual time relates to any of this, or how it fits in to the Phase 4 chronology, just that it's being rolled out first, and that the other two movies will follow.

So, very curious. Right now, I'm mainly concerned with what is actually going on, and what is just misdirection, or Easter eggs for the sake of Easter eggs. :)
