I watched as the waitress lost her job. It wasn't like I was in the restaurant to witness it. I was merely stopping to grab a bite to eat, on my way to somewhere else. I would have been perfectly content

Good Evening It's Friday night in my corner of HIVE. It's been dark for a couple hours or so, and I'm feeling like I should already be in bed. Still, it's a bit early for that (7:30 PM) and I'm not really

Dang Buttons! We start this latest installment of Grandpa Gotta Work on the topic of buttons. Not buttons on clothes, or that pet or doll someone decided to name Buttons, but the buttons we push. Not

Grandpa's Log, star date 011821021.163513. Here's what's going on in my world right now. Personal Finances Work I didn't work at all last week. I didn't even receive a text. Just radio silence. It's kind

Declining payout so please don't vote. Just curious what the secret is to logging into Hive Engine. I've never done it before. I've been trying for days and all it does is spin once I've input my user

From February, 2018 through July, 2020, I published a monthly report of my activity and progress on STEEM and HIVE. With work and other concerns vying for my attention, I basically burnt out on posting

Sorry. I'm feeling a bit extreme. Yeah, I know. Better tone that down. Don't want anyone labeling me as an extremist for feeling extreme. That would be bad. Extremism is out. Being the same is in. Think

Here's A Question What do you do when you know money is going to be tight for a while? You tighten your belt. Meaning, you look for ways to cut down on expenses. Unless you're some sort of government entity.

Note: This is pretty much a journal entry of my life, but you're more than welcome to read it. The More Things Stay The Same... Last week, I wrote that three sources of income were being stymied, along

Hey, Dude! See Ya Later! I've had enough of "reality" for a while. If 2020 and 2021 so far are any indication of the way it's going to be from now on, I'm done. I want no part of it. I doubt

I Did! In true teaser fashion, though, before I get into what I got from HIVE for Christmas this year, I'd like to show you what I got from my family and a family friend first. Shirts This is pretty much

At the risk of stating the obvious, I'm just going to say it: Trees, lights, Santa Claus, snowmen, presents, Elf on the Shelf, table decorations, food, and seasonal welcome mats are all very nice, but

While many are 'away' at HiveFest, this might not be the best time to post this (or anything for that matter), but I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and as I've mentioned in the past, once something

I've mentioned a few things here going on in my life lately. I've decided to add to what I've already written, though not of all it is really related to one another, other than they've happened to me or

I'm sure each of us, at one point or another, have read, heard or may have even said words similar to those found in the title of this post. "At least you have your health," is another common

Well, it finally happened. I'm pretty sure I'm sick. I don't think it's COVID-19, or else it's the pretty mild form. I think it's still possible to catch a plain old cold, right? Haven't heard how many

I live in Oregon. For the last two weeks, ending today, the state has been under a freeze order by the governor which essentially acted as a shutdown. That freeze has made it very difficult for most businesses
