Religion is a way of worshipping God according to the bible. In worshipping God, we must worship him in spirit and in truth which is the full definition of a true religion. Religion is not just a set of rules and regulations, but is the relationship between man and God. A true religion connects us with our maker and an untrue religion keeps us away from our maker.
According to Bro Eli Soriano in his teaching said that; As christians, we have to know that if we indulge in religion but do not train our tongue, regarding the way we speak carelessly (speaking hatred and saying bad things to people) then our religion is in vain, meaning that there's a good and vain religion.
James 1:26
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is in vain.
Religion is where the true service of God is taught as the church of God in the bible, here men are instructed on what they ought to do. As religious people, we are not suppose to say bad things or speak hatred to people but rather, we are expected to speak good to people, help people, live a holy life and do the will of God. May God give us the grace to worship him in spirit and truth, which is the true religion Amen.
