As a true disciples of Jesus Christ, we should learn how to forgive those who offend us rather than taking revenge or harming them. In our society today, we have so many people who call themselves Christians but cannot forgive those who offend them, they have hot tempers that they can go extra miles to hurt people who offend them instead of forgiving them.
Bro Eli Soriano made us to understand that human nature and instinct dictates that if somebody does something wrong to us, the only thing we do for those who offend us is to get angry and react instead of forgiving. For sometimes now we have been learning from the teachings of the Bible, but have we make out time to listen to the videos by Bro Eli Soriano? As a true christians, our reaction towards those who did wrong to us is not to get angry instead we should be happy and forgive because it's an opportunity been given to us by God. It's of our benefit if we forgive because when we forgive those who offend us, our father in heaven will forgive us our sins. From the bible verse Bro Eli Soriano used in his teaching:
Matthew 6:14
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you.
When we don't forgive those who offend us, we are giving our father in heaven the opportunity not to forgive us our sins according to the bible verse:
Matthew 6:15
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses.
The major things we have learnt is to forgive. Love should rule our hearts. Let what we are preaching be seen in our lives. Let us not harden our hearts towards forgiving those who offend us. And in all we should love each other for wherever there's love, there's forgiveness. Let us walk in love with our brethren.
