Como les comenté la semana pasada mis lentes sufrieron un accidente, se le cayó una patita y bueno hacen un tiempo la otra se había caído también y al mandarla a reparación me dijeron que perdería esa flexibilidad que tienen para ajustarse, más como era de un solo lado no me pareció mal, más esta vez sí era preocupante pues no me podía dar el gusto de usar unos lentes sin ajuste, y al preguntar el precio menos aún, por lo que la mejor decisión era lentes nuevos.
As I told you last week my glasses suffered an accident, one leg fell off and well some time ago the other one had fallen off too and when I sent it for repair they told me that it would lose that flexibility they have to adjust, but as it was only one side I did not think it was bad, but this time it was worrying because I could not afford to use some glasses without adjustment, and when I asked the price even less, so the best decision was new lenses.
Al ir al chequeo con el especialista la presbicia había avanzado y bueno todo pasa por algo como decía mi abuela, de no ser así yo seguiría forzando la vista, al tener lentes nuevos y ver lo sencillo del estuche quise tejer un estuche algo más grueso y nada mejor que el pábilo para este proyecto, y como había tejido un par de granny del mismo tamaño me dije porque no unirlos y diseñar una funda muy original
When I went to the check up with the specialist the presbyopia had advanced and well everything happens for a reason as my grandmother used to say, otherwise I would continue forcing my sight, having new lenses and seeing how simple the case was I wanted to knit a thicker case and nothing better than pábilo for this project, and as I had knitted a pair of granny glasses of the same size I said why not join them and design a very original case.
Así que tomé hilo negro, aguja lanera, broches para marcar, recicle un botón y puse manos a la obra,
So I took some black thread, a wool needle, marking pins, recycled a button and got down to work,
Cruce los granny en forma diagonal por la parte del revés, los enfrente y comencé a coser de una punta a la otra.
I crossed the granny diagonally on the back side, faced them and started sewing from one end to the other.
Acto seguido doble la esquina del granny que cerraría la funda, y proseguí a coser de ambos lados.
Then I folded the corner of the granny that would close the cover, and continued sewing on both sides.
Luego cosí del otro extremo.

Para terminar cosí el botón.
To finish I sewed the button.
Al ser esta funda gruesa es de mayor protección para los lentes, como no tengo mucha practica uniendo granny esta labor me fue algo tediosa más pude terminarla en unos 40 minutos, quedando satisfecha por ello.
As I don't have a lot of practice with granny stitching this work was a little tedious but I was able to finish it in about 40 minutes, being satisfied with it.
