Hello to all Splinterlands players!!!
For us players, encountering the "Earthquake" ruleset can be a challenge, as damage will be dealt to all non-flying cards every turn. To effectively face this situation, you need to consider different strategies and adapt your deck and playstyle accordingly.
The most common techniques involve using cards with the Flying ability, or monsters with high Health or Armor points, or with regenerative abilities like Heal.
But there's a summoner from the Dice edition that can really help us during battles with "Earthquake": its name is Brighton Bloom, a Dragon element summoner, costing 4 mana, granting the Flying ability to all monsters on the team.
Many Dragon element monsters are already flying, but with Brighton, we can use cards, even very "heavy" ones, from other elements and have the possibility to give them the Flying ability.
With the recent market price drop, it's not even too expensive as a card, priced at about $2.18 per BCX. Of course, to reach a decent level 4, you'll need 25 BCX, which makes a total expenditure of about $54.
Let's see Brighton Bloom in action in one of my battles:

And here we are, a nice challenge with only 27 mana cap, obviously Earthquake, Little League (only monsters that cost 4 mana or less), and Holy Protection.
I decided to choose Brighton Bloom, with a team mixed between the Dragon, Neutral, and Life elements, with Xenith Monk in the Tank position.
On the other hand, my opponent leaned towards Quix the Devious, also of the Dragon element, but deployed only one Flying monster, namely Riftwing.
All of my opponent's calculations collapsed in Round 6, where almost all of his monsters were destroyed by the blows dealt by Earthquake, and only Riftwing remained in the tank position, but having no attack, it was only a matter of time before defeat came for him.
The lesson seems clear, in battles with Earthquake, it's better to deploy many Flying monsters.

https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_7f8f55c2386d7074eaa8e74e8bbc3847
