Hello to all fellow Spinterlands players!
Often, when we play on Splinterlands, we deploy teams with the certainty of having a specific amount of Health points per team. These points are crucial for both our monsters' resilience against enemy attacks and for their endurance in battles lasting multiple rounds. However, there are game rulesets that challenge these certainties and calculations, and that's what we'll be discussing today in this week's BATTLE MAGE SECRETS!
Noxious Fumes: it's what happens when we eat too many beans 😆. Just kidding, of course. This ruleset forces all monsters on the battlefield to be Poisoned, losing 2 Health points every round. However, it's important to remember that cards with Immunity are not poisoned. This protection applies only once; units that are purified, resurrected, or rebirthed will not be poisoned again.
Here's the link to the battle I want to show you:

And these are the game rules:
With a fairly low mana cap of 21, this prevents us from choosing "heavy" monsters with high Health points. In addition to Noxious Fumes, there are Weak Magic and Briar Patch, making cards with magic attack, and especially those with melee attack, disadvantaged.
Now, let's take a look at the battlefield:
I believe I've chosen one of the best teams for this type of battle: Scarred Llama Mage, with its +2 Health and the Last Standing ability, but most importantly,Cleanse, which removes any debuffs from the tank monster (in this case, Poisoned). It's the summoner best equipped to face a challenge with Noxious Fumes. So, in the first position, I've sacrificed Fungus Flinger with its Martyr ability, and in the second position, I've placed Kron the Undying as the team's backbone, with only minor monsters behind him.
On the other hand, my opponent has chosen a classic melee-based team with Franz Ruffmane as the summoner and Uriel the Purifier as the heavy hitter, boasting 12 Health points and 6 Armor points in the third position.
The entire challenge comes down to a head-to-head battle between the two heavyweights in round 5. Kron the Undying is too advantaged in this situation and, with the help of the llama, reaches an impressive 20 Health points and 6 magic attack, wiping out Uriel the Purifier at the start of round 6.

https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sl_acc715d50b3d26c3dadc5e54c3b8f6ba
