Hello, it's been quite a while since I shared my photography work in this community that I dearly love. This is due to my recent busy schedule in completing several photo assignments I covered in the past few weeks. In my town, there have been numerous running events, and I happened to be one of the official photographers for one of these running events. There are quite a few files that I need to curate before uploading them to the drive. However, I won't be sharing photos from that event just yet. Instead, I'll be sharing some photos that I took before getting busy with the running event.

Some time ago, I shared a post about a photo session at my friend's café, who also happens to be a photographer. The café has become quite popular lately due to its comfortable atmosphere and a photo spot with a swimming pool, which attracts visitors to the café. Oh, the café is called "Home Sweet Home."

Before the café became as bustling as it is now, we had several casual photo sessions here. Apart from promoting the café, we did these photo sessions to fill our leisure time, usually on Thursdays, as it was the only day when all members of our community had free time. The concept for this photo session was originally cosplay. In my town, cosplay has become very popular recently, so we were looking for a cosplayer to do a photo session. However, I myself didn't know which anime costume she was wearing. Hehehe.

We did the photo session in the late afternoon, but at that time, I wasn't very enthusiastic due to the extremely hot weather. So, I took some casual photos in the late afternoon, and only towards the evening, I became quite enthusiastic about the photo session as the temperature had cooled down. I directed the model to play around with water by the poolside and took candid photos so I didn't have to direct her to pose. During the afternoon session, I noticed that the cosplayer model wasn't very comfortable with posing, so I preferred taking candid shots. And here are the results:

I think the results are quite good when she's playing with water by the poolside. My difficulty lies in adjusting the white balance appropriately because it changes rapidly from late afternoon to evening, and this tends to overwhelm me. Personally, I struggle with outdoor photo sessions because I don't like the drastic changes in white balance. If I could choose, I prefer studio photo sessions using lighting, as I can control the white balance with a constant value. However, as a photographer, mastering outdoor photography is a necessity, so I will continue to practice and improve in these aspects.

What do you all think of the results of my photos? Are they good, or do they still need a lot of improvement? I really need advice regarding white balance for outdoor sessions. Should I use auto white balance or set the Kelvin value? I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me some tips on white balance. Anyway, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to those who have visited my post. Don't forget to hit the like button.

Warm regards from me.
