Today I want to present another creation of my son Leonardo, always forced to stay at home for the lockdown, hopefully not for much longer.
This quarantine is bringing out his artistic side more and more and it's fantastic when he asks me to take the colors because he wants to draw.
At that point, I spread the waterproof sheet on the table and put on him the apron, like real painters do.
We take all the necessary equipment and he starts mixing the colors and fumbling with the brush.
That said, let's move on to the description of the work.
The tools he used are the following:
The idea of this drawing was born after seeing the video of the children's song "Elizabeth The snail". I don't know if you know her...I confess I didn't know her before.
Probably, the vision of this video influenced the inspiration of that moment and so a stylized snail came out.
The colors are all in shades of beige and garnet, with a hint of some shades of gray.
At that point, it was really easy for me to find a title for this work...the simplest and most direct you can imagine...
The technique is always that of direct paint on the sheet, but in this case, compared to previous creations, they are more defined.
In addition, the circled parts were obtained using the bottoms of the empty paint pots, which imprinted their shape and around which Leo went with the brush with truly surprising precision.
Once again I have to tell him that he was really brilliant, because I think that the result is sincerely surprising.
I like the way he combines his imagination and creativity with his instinct. Clearly, he has a lot of fun and that's the most important thing.
I am preserving all his small paintings and maybe one day he will exhibit them in an exposure or they will have great value...who knows.
The fact is that, for me, they are absolutely invaluable.
Oggi voglio presentarvi un'altra creazione di mio figlio Leonardo, sempre costretto a rimanere in casa per il lockdown, si spera non ancora per molto.
Questa quarantena sta tirando fuori sempre di più il suo lato artistico ed è fantastico quando mi chiede di prendere i colori perché vuole disegnare.
A quel punto, io stendo il telo impermeabile sul tavolino e gli metto il grembiule come fanno i veri pittori.
Prendiamo tutta l'attrezzatura necessaria e lui parte mescolando i colori e armeggiando con il pennellino.
Detto ciò, passiamo alla descrizione dell'opera.

L'idea di questo disegno nasce dopo aver visto il video della canzone per bambini "La lumaca Elisabetta". Non so se la conoscete...io confesso che non la conoscevo prima.
Probabilmente, la visione di questo video ha influito sull'ispirazione di quel momento e così ne è venuta fuori una lumaca stilizzata.
I colori sono tutti sui toni del beige e del granata, con un accenno di alcune tonalità di grigio. ### Riuscite a vedere le piccole corna e il guscio della lumaca?
A quel punto, mi è stato davvero facile trovare un titolo a questo lavoro...il più semplice e diretto che possiate immaginare...
La tecnica è sempre quella della vernice diretta sul foglio, ma in questo caso, rispetto alle precedenti creazioni, risultano essere più definite.
Inoltre, le parti cerchiate sono state ottenute usando i fondi dei vasetti vuoti di vernice, che hanno impresso la loro forma e intorno ai quali Leo è andato col pennello con una precisione davvero sorprendente.
Ancora una volta devo dirgli che è stato bravissimo, il risultato è sinceramente sorprendente.
Mi piace come unisce la sua fantasia e la sua creatività con il suo istinto. Chiaramente, si diverte molto ed è questa la cosa più importante.
Sto conservando tutti i suoi piccoli quadri e magari un giorno li esporrà in una mostra o varranno una fortuna...chissà.
Fatto sta che, per me hanno un valore assolutamente inestimabile.
