Ink drift
Shades
Elongate in
Candle light.
Flicker, flicker.
Ciliary twitch
Muscular expansion
Curtain flinch.
Hold.
Breath hold.
Static expectation.
Scritch, scritch, scratch.
Rabbit hutch.
Tachycardia
Sweat
Hand stretched
Check door
Tight shut.
Key twist: clunk.
Heart beat missed.
Thump, thump.
Thump.
Deadly silence.
