The movie shows the making of Annabelle, and how she became the evil demon doll we all love to fear.

With out giving too much of the story line away it's set in the 1950s, in a big old American colonial house, with rap around verandas (porches), and orphan girls trapped in a house with a doll that is basically an evil possessing killing machine.

There are a lot of jump scares that start right at the beginning and continue throughout the movie, and although some of them are quite far apart they are pretty well executed.
It got straight into the plot, and the dramatic music really added to the intensity and suspense.

Until I went to see it at the movies I didn’t realise that a grown woman (about 45-50 years old) could fold into three with her hands covering her eyes with tiny gaps between her fingers shrieking every time someone in the movie so much as turns their head. She was sitting in the seat next to me, and I had a moment where I almost went to ask if she was okay and maybe hold her hand, but since I’m a kid I thought that it probably would not help, since the movie is about a little demon girl doll.

All in all its a pretty good movie, the sound track was good, although I think that it ruined the song you are my sunshine for everyone in the cinema, due to the fact that it was played on an old record machine throughout different parts of the movie.
There were a couple of laughs to defuse the tension along the way. There were parts that could have been improved but most of it was amazing and really enjoyable.
