Hello everyone, welcome to my new account, which I'll be using to share my digital art journey, creative projects, and other artwork I come up with along the way. My main account is dedicated to gaming content, and you can find me there as samye2@samye2 if you'd like to check out some of my gaming posts. I've wanted to start creating digital art for quite some time, but I knew I needed the right equipment to get started. For a long time, I've been saving up money to purchase a tablet, a stylus pen, and a few other accessories that would make the whole creative experience easier. Thankfully, I've finally been able to get them! I couldn't afford the best equipment available, but that's perfectly fine. I'll work with what I have, keep learning, and improve my skills until I'm eventually able to afford something better. After all, you have to start somewhere, right?
Since Halloween just passed, I thought it would be nice to create something related to the celebration as my first post on this account. I wanted my first artwork to be something interesting, and I eventually settled on a character called Pupa from an animated series called Solar Opposites. This is actually one of my favourite modern cartoon series because it gives me similar vibes to Rick and Morty, which happens to be my all-time favourite. I'm particularly drawn to the amount of science fiction, futuristic technology, and crazy adventures in the series. Once I noticed how much sci-fi content they incorporated into the storyline, I became even more interested, and before I knew it, I was already attached to the show. I also love how they portrayed the ship's AI as a Black woman. There's just something about her personality that gives off a Black mother vibe, and I find it hilarious.馃槄
Now, coming back to the artwork, we have Pupa looking absolutely terrified after coming face to face with the Grim Reaper. As you can see, the Reaper isn't physically standing in front of him, but his frightening shadow is clearly visible on the wall. I wanted to create something that would capture that spooky Halloween atmosphere without making the artwork unnecessarily colourful. I had fun putting this together, and hopefully, this is just the beginning of many more digital art projects I'll be sharing here. I'm still learning, so I'll appreciate every bit of support, encouragement, and constructive feedback as I improve my skills and explore more creative ideas. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my first digital art post. I hope you'll follow along as I begin this new journey. There's definitely a lot more I want to create, and I'm excited to see how far I can go with the little equipment I have. 馃槉
