Thank you @ablaze for another Tuesday with musical vibes and one of the rare opportunities to share the music that we love and have come to appreciate. Another week to recommend beautiful songs and this is week 64. I can't wait for us to hit 100... I said that last week and I am saying that again. I am excited to be a part of this wonderful idea. It's beautiful because music is always beautiful and expressive too. As they say, music is life and I don't want to stop living. Live and let live.
The first one for this week is titled 'When A Man Loves A Woman' by Michael Bolton. You can watch the video below:
I am a sucker for love and I don't take with levity the words of love nor the artist. I believe these artists are so good at putting words to my emotions better than I could ever do. Michael Bolton is a lover when it comes to his ageless songs. My dad of blessed memory would put this song on repeat. He didn't know the lyrics too well but you can feel the way my dad would close his eyes, move slowly to the rhythm of the song and smile. Love is no respecter of anyone 馃槀 and when love hits you, it hits hard that you even forget there are other 7 billion people in the world.
I love this song due to the way it expresses love. When a man loves a woman, he would trade anything for that woman because he believes he has found a treasure and he won't keep his mind on anything else but the woman. The Bible even told us that where your treasure is, that's where your heart would be. I want to believe Michael Bolton took a leaf from the Bible with that.
The second one for this week is titled 'How Am I Supposed To Live Without You:' by Michael Bolton. You can watch the video below:
This song speaks directly to those who daydream about another person without actually speaking to them. His friend has been swept off her feet by another man. She didn't know he has fallen in love with her and he didn't say it either but when she found love that was when he wanted to find out if it's true. When you love someone you have to let them know. Life is too short to give in to chances and leave so many words unsaid. There is no point living in hurts and pains when you know your whole world is staring at you right in the face.
So, when you love someone you have to let them know. Stop daydreaming, stop dating them mentally because if they don't know, they can't assume either. That's what I understood from this song and it's an old song I've come to love. The artist made a passionate plea to a lover that is now distant after he failed to speak up.
The last one for this week is titled 'Soul Provider:' by Michael Bolton. You can watch the video below:
Love is good not just when it's new but when it's true. This is the real definition of writing a love letter to someone. I can remember how we used to exchange love letters and how we use words we didn't understand then like 'Soulmate' but in the case of Michael Bolton, he understood what it means and that's one of the major reasons why I love this song. He made use of so many heavy and promisory words that can be felt from the core of your soul. Being a soul provider means he is ready to heal her pains and hurts while showing her how love should be and guiding her into a safe harbour.
I like Michael Bolton and his songs because he is always deliberate about his songs. He sings with his emotions and I am an emotional person by the virtue of feeling love deeply too.
Thank you for being here and welcome to TTT.
Cheers.
