No longer a place I can stay,
a minute more here, I'll stray
from the path I used to follow,
a second more, I'll betray
my belief and make my heart hollo,
so I will walk away!
No longer a promise,
I'm backing out of being an accomplice,
I am moving away,
I can't continue to be aimless
I know The Way,
between me and you, I'm causing aloofness,
So I'm walking away.
Shocked at how far I've gone?
For your path, we can't be many, I need to be one,
for the path I am to tread is narrow,
I won't turn back, keep blaring your horn,
until your pride, you swallow
and from evil ways, you turn,
only then can WE walk The Way.
Until then, I will stay on the path that I know,
so you can understand the errors in your way
Because I know no one can change anyone
Unless there is a willingness on the part of the person
I will walk away and I hope to find my way home
Or better still to you again so we can walk together
Because two people cannot walk the walk unless they agree
