I don't know who you are as you have become a shadow of yourself
Life gives us many choices but you have chosen who you want to be
You tried to conform to the ways of the world thinking you can be smart
You got beat to it and you start to play the victim card
Life comes with a lot of options and we have the choice to make
We have things beyond our control and things within our grasps
Often times we waste away focusing on the things we can't control
Many people likes playing the victim card as it breeds inactions
They want to be pitied and excused for their lack of efforts and desires
They want the world to okay a life of mediocrity and their lack of dreams
I believe we all have dreams but some have problem in telling theirs
A dream without action can be likened to not having a dream at all
I don't know who you are anymore because you have chosen another path
You've been given the board but you keep missing the point with your dart
You fell off the wagon but you lacked the courage to get into your cart
You promised heaven and earth to carve your path and the ways of the world, having no part
But you seem to be the one championing the cause while you duff your hat
Life is not just a bunch of goodies as you would find in the mart
We all have to become a better version of who we are, for ourselves and for others
As for you, you are not the person I used to know
