Faith is the anchor for the soul. There is no Christian journey without faith. As the anchor is used to steady the ship, faith is needed to steady us when life's challenges rise. The bigger the ship, the bigger the anchor. The bigger things you expect from God, the bigger your faith should be. Your faith is not as a result of what you think but about what God said and that's the hope we have because God is true to His Words. The anchor for the soul of men is the promise from God. When we can't find that hope or hold on to something from God, it's natural for us as humans to drift.
No believer should be hopeless. When a believer is hopeless then it shows that person hasn't found what God said in His Word. That person lacked promises from God to hold on to. God has spoken but what are you hearing?
Hope in God is not being optimistic. It's not something you have control over. You can be optimistic about something but hope in God means you have trust in God to make it happen even when you don't know how. Hope in God is not wishful thinking. Hope in God is certain; you are certain that it would end in praise.
Hope in God does not deny present situation but it establishes the truth that it won't be forever. Hope in God is based on what God says. When God speaks, it doesn't mean you won't have things to challenge that situation. Situations would happen that would make you doubt but stand strong. Hope in God doesn't produce without you putting to work what God has promised you.
What promise are you holding on to? Are you allowing the situation of things to snuff it out? Do you still believe in Him in the face of contrasting situations? Hope in God is to know that God will fight your battles and give to you all that you desire.
The biggest distraction to our hope in God is when we have disregard for God's laws. Hope in God must shape how we behave. Hope in God must be able to influence your actions. God is so concerned about how we live. If you don't have disregard for the laws of God, there is no enemy that can get you. In as much as you are learning about the promises of God, learn the laws of God as well.
Latch unto the promise of healing and forgiveness. Only then can you attract the best that God has for you. God gives us hope for daily stability. God gives us a hope for a great future. Your future is in what God says. It's not about being optimistic but in what God says.
Learn to have faith in God because faith is the promise. Learn to have hope in God because hope is the expectation and learn to love God because loving God is a sign of trust. Anyone that cannot win the battle of the flesh will always be hopeless. Stay hopeful and wall with God.
