Pancit lomi is a Filipino dish made with a variety of thick fresh egg noodles, cabbage, carrots, and other ingredients such as pork liver and squid balls to make the dish filling.
Lomi is one of my comfort food specially if it rains. Because of a typhoon, it was gloomy for almost a week. So I have been craving for lomi.
So we went to our favorite place for Lomi--Raphael's Lomi-Bulalo-Silog.
This is just a simple restaurant that specializes with lomi noodles, bulalo (beef shranks stew), and silog (fried rice and egg).
Their lomi is P150 ($3). And it is for 5 to 6 persons! Very cheap, isn't it?
While waiting for our order, I took some pictures of their humble restaurant.
I love this saying. It made me smile.
And now comes our lomi.
The deliciously inviting smell made me almost forgot to take pictures. I would love to devour this as quickly as I can, most specially that it is still steaming hot!
And the taste? Oh! Just how I love it--thick savory soup, tasty noodles, and fresh vegetables.
Whenever it is rainy, we long to have lomi. And our steps almost always lead us back to Raphael's.
