When I've read about this art contest, I was a little sad because I do not have an art talent to share.
I don't paint, I don't draw... NOTHING. (Where was I when God showered gifts of talent? Huhuhu!) And that is, aside from the fact that I do not have the materials needed. We don't have watercolors, nor crayon pastel! All I have is ordinary crayons of my five year old!!!
But I still wanted to give it a try, so I decided to google some art ideas that are doable, with the thing that I wanted to do for the better half of 2020.
I am dying to watch the sunset at the beach. When this lockdown is over, I really, really would love to silently watch the sunset as we sat on the shore, just like old times.
However, how will I incorporate sunset viewing with art?!?
I have searched paper maché, but I couldn't come up with sunset using paper maché. Then, when I almost gave up, I bumped into this art called peeble art.
Now, I can do something. And this pebble art connects with the warmth in my heart, the tender feelings of being with your family as you all admire in awe the majestic spectacle in front of you. So for me, this is "art." Art must have feelings!
The next thing I did is pebble hunting. It was both fun and wearisome. All my mental faculties are turning, imagining how each pebbles would match the entirety of the art.
After the fun of pebble hunting comes the conceptualising the gathered materials and actual visualization, because I want something realistic.
I had gathered pebbles, and dried piece of branch.
Now, I did a very, very simple sunset crayon drawing.
Then I glued things together.
And as I've said, this is what I call art. Art must have feelings.
