Greetings inhabitants, visitors and lurkers of this vast and wonderful multiverse of hive on web3.
For me it is a real privilege to be here in this week number six of the Vibes web3 Music Competition, and I feel even prouder to bring a Venezuelan song that already belongs to the universal repertoire.
It is nothing more and nothing less than Old horse, by the immortal master Simón Díaz, written back in 1980, translated into more than twelve languages and covered by countless artists, each of whom has given it their own touch, even adapting it to almost any rhythm and musical style.
I did not dare to add anything to it, and I tried to interpret it in its original version.
I hope you all enjoy it.
You don't even realize it
The cauca greens
The guamachito blooms
And the rope bursts.
You don't even realize it
The cauca greens
The guamachito blooms
And the rope bursts.
Because he's old and tired
But they don't realize
That a tied up heart
When they let go of the rein
It's a runaway horse.
Meets an old horse
The chest is bleeding
Doesn't pay attention to the facet
And no bridle obeys him
Nor does a passienda stop him.
It's not your fault
Loving each other has no timetable
Nor date on the calendar
When the desire comes together.
It's not your fault
Loving each other has no timetable
No date on the calendar
When the desires come together.
And he has the time counted
And he goes in the morning
With his little step in a hurry
To meet his filly
That has it "embarbascao".
Because he's too old
Old horse can't
To lose the flower they give him
Because after this life
There is no other chance.
