Greetings to all, inhabitants of this wonderful multiverse of web 3.0, blockchain and the creation of original and quality content.

Week 157 of the hive open mic is coming up, immediately following Holy Week, which commemorates the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For the Catholic people of much of Europe, and all of Latin America, it is a feast of faith and a time of spiritual renewal, even to reconcile with God, through the Eucharist or any other church is a time of reunion with our creator.

Reason why this week I was invited to interpret some Christian themes, among them this one that I bring you this week, La saeta, this theme of the master Joan Manuel Serrat, is nothing more than the musicalization of the poem of the same name of the great poet Antonio Machado, this dates from 1914, "There is no band of bugles and drums that has not played it as an indelible part of the sounds of Holy Week. It sounds "La saeta" and we remember Serrat culminating with it many of his concerts, embracing again and again the miraculous Christ who walked on the waters and not the bleeding Christ of the wood, baroque apotheosis of the Andalusian Holy Week whose aesthetics and feeling shapes the poem and the harmonic development of the song"*.

This theme overwhelmed me and it was really very difficult to record it, more than performing it in church, in the intimacy of the house, today Resurrection Sunday, it overwhelmed me, so there are parts in which I broke a little, but I wanted to leave it as it was, I apologize for the details, I think it should be like that.

I hope you enjoy it:

The saeta.

Said a popular voice:

"Who will lend me a ladder
To climb up to the wood
To remove the nails
To Jesus the Nazarene".

Oh, the saeta when singing
To the Christ of the Gypsies
Always with blood on his hands,
Always to unlock.

Song of the Andalusian people
That every spring
Asking for stairs
To go up to the cross.

Song of my land
That throws flowers
To the Jesus of agony
And it is the faith of my elders.

Oh, aren't you my song
I cannot sing, nor do I want to
To that Jesus on the cross,
But to the one who walked on the sea.

Oh, aren't you my song
I cannot sing, nor do I want to
That Jesus on the cross,
But the one who walked on the sea.

Oh aren't you my song...

Anda pidiendo escaleras
Para subir a la cruz.

Cantar de la tierra mía
Que echa flores
Al Jesús de la agonía
Y es la fe de mis mayores.

Oh, no eres tu mi cantar
No puedo cantar, ni quiero
A ese Jesús del madero,
Si no al que anduvo en la mar?

Oh, no eres tú mi cantar
No puedo cantar, ni quiero
A ese Jesús del madero,
Sino el que anduvo en la mar

Oh no eres tu mi cantar...
