One Block - Six Textures

Walking the route I walked a number of times for the 'Wednesday Walk' weekly challenge what caught my eye was, textures. ~ ~

A couple of the photos I made into black and whites because the textures looked more interesting that way.

There were lots of choices but I stuck to textures specifically rather than branching out into patterns as well. 😊 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This was in one of the entrance ways to the houses in First Ave which originally would have been covered with tiles. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Found as we approach the road to warn the visually impaired and blind that a crossing is coming up. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The original granite setts that edge the pavement all the way down First Avenue ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I think this is my favourite texture. The stonework ballustrade is most definitely in need of a repaint. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The state of Hove Lawns. as it was last July. It recovered completely though. 😢 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

A modernised balustrade. Pretty naff in my opinion although the texture on it's own is interesting. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

These textures were all found within one block of my house, either under foot or on walls.

I wonder when I'm going to run out of ideas from just this single block. So far it has been ultra productive! 😁 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
