I’d take the dry -30°C over rainy +2°C any day!
I 100% agree on this. If it's going to be anything below 5, I'd prefer it be below -10 so the ground's frozen and any precipitation is snow. :).

It's also much nicer when the dogs don't come in the house with mud on their feet.
