Uber is just now reporting that a cyber breach nearly a year ago. Exposed the personal information of tens of millions of Uber drivers and customers.
The CEO of uber says the company only recently because aware that two individuals hacked their system late year and obtained user data.
Uber forensic experts say hackers took the name, email address and phone number of 57,000,000 riders. Also breached were the driver's license numbers of 600,000 uber drivers.
Uber says at the time of the breach the company took immediate steps to secure the data and shut down further unauthorized access.
The CEO says the two employees who led the initial response to the incident to notify affected individuals and regulators no longer with the company..
