Hello everyone, good morning family of Hive!
I'm back again! Today's art piece took a different shape tho, at the same time, it is a very simple work.
Title: The African Mother
Medium: Ink on strawboard
This particular work of art comes with a short story about Mrs Amaka, the woman in the diagram.
Once upon a very long time, there lived a very beautiful lady who had just gotten married newly. Amaka at this point had already felt archived, because she knew her future had just began. On the other hand, Amaka's husband was a very handsome and vibrant man who portrayed him self as a well to do man, just to get married to Amaka, who he knew had strong dreams.
As time went on, they had their first child, down to the fourth, and last child. And throughout, life was so beautiful... Their marriage was built on trust and love. But something bad happened, Amaka's husband died! He died on his way back from work(he worked as a marine officer)so while returning, his boat sank. Amaka on hearing the news broke down in tears and frustration. Her children were still very tender...how does she start over again to build her family?!
Amaka had to double up for both herself and her husband. she single handedly trained all her children through school and out, she owned one of the biggest parks ever known, she helped lots of broken widows regain their happiness.
Amaka portrays a black, independent, strong mother that didn't just give up.
