Whenever the word Christmas is used,a lot of things come to mind. It signifies love, a time of giving, sharing ,receiving, enjoyment, laughter and fun. Here in Nigeria we've always had a knack for celebrations and we celebrate in grand styles.
Families cook and share, they also receive gifts of various kinds, visitors troop in and out of houses and kids hover around beckoning on their parents to take them out to fun places.
There are various ways to celebrate Christmas in the world today, but there is only one reason to celebrate Christmas. It is to mark the birth of our savior Christ who died for our salvation.
The other stuffs are just the added benefits. I think this is enough reason to celebrate, no matter what happened through out the year, the hardships and ups and downs, there is a time set aside to be thankful to God for this wonderful gift and this the joy of Christmas. Not the food and drinks but the gift Christ gave us humanity and so therefore your Christmas should be about giving, helping the less privileged and putting smiles on the faces of others .
