Educ 4A - a course subject which introduces education students to the teaching profession
My life experience :
Pressure started to boil upon enrolling the subject - a lot of expectations to achieve. Expectations such as making the best of your creativity in designing a bulletin board.
However, everything is possible TOGETHER.
This was just one of the exposures we need to experience for us ro get ready in the next level. Aside from doing this thing, we also had our class regarding the different laws about education, the code of Ethics and the Magna Carta of Teachers. Solving different situations that affect these laws in Education were interesting on our part since it challenged the critical thinking skill.
Educ 4B - a course subject which exposes education students to the pre-service teacher training program
My life experience:
Student teaching is the culmination of all learnings in college. It is the application of the theories learned from the professional subjects and the actualization of character molded by the core subjects, the General subjects.
The photo above shows the participation we had during the English month of junior high school, our laboratory school at the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue during our in-campus duty. At the center were the mentors of the different student teachers.
Aside from teaching demonstration in the classroom, we also participated in the different activities of the department.
The College of Teacher Education in UCLM provides a wide variety of experiences. It does not limit the students into one environment only, but also it exposes us to the other side.
Aside from in-campus duty which is teaching directly to the university's lab school, we also had our pre-service teaching in public schools.
Another advantage of having an out-campus duty was gaining friends with other STs from other school.
It was indeed the start of a lifetime commitment when I took a vow in the first teaching demonstration of my classes.
