Mum asked me to make a simple gown for her. So I thought to show you the steps I took, hope you all can learn something from it.

Firstly I folded the Ankara into two with the smaller side facing me, I marked out the shoulder, burst, waist and hips measurements. I joined the marks of measurements together.

Then I cut it out that's how I got the front part, always know that whatever the measurements are, I divided it by four.

I place the front part on another folded part of the Ankara to trace out the back part and then I cut it out.

I made a slit at the neck area of both the front and back, I also cut out the hands.

After all the cutting, I joined the pieces with my sewing machine. This is what it looks like.

Thanks for reading, I hope to find easy ways to teach anyone that wants to learn.
