A wide angle photography gives a photographer a broader field view without the photographer having to increase the distance from the subject. This increases the effectiveness and wider view of the photo to point out the subject perfectly.
I tried shooting this photo from my mobile device and adjusting it to 0.6x view on the phone camera with a stock camera :
