In Amerika, genauer New York, werden die Strompreise erhöht, Grund dafür sind die Kryptominer.
Da der Strom in NY so billig ist, haben sich dort viele Schürfer angesiedelt und darunter leiden jetzt die Bürger.
Um dem entgegen zu wirken, hat nun eine Behörde den Stromerzeugern erlaubt, höhere Preise für Miner zu verrechnen. Das funktioniert nur, weil die Kraftwerke dort in den Händen von Gemeinschaften sind und sie quasi Verbraucher und Erzeuger gleichzeitig sind.
Das Problem hier ist, dass nur ein gewisses Kontingent zur Verfügung steht, ist dieses verbraucht, muss der Strom importiert werde und die Kosten steigen um 54%.
In einigen Dörfern/Städten wurde das Schürfen schon verboten, was sich natürlich auf den Wert auswirkt...
Die neuen, teureren Tarife sollen nur für Kunden sein, die viel Strom beziehen, aber nichts Wirtschaftliches für die Gegend beizutragen haben.
Dass die Strompreise an bestimmte Branchen angepasst werden, ist in Amerika keine Seltenheit. In Colorado wurden auf ähnliche Weise die Strompreise für den Anbau von Weed erhöht, da die Anlagen viel Strom benötigen, aber kaum Arbeitsplätze schaffen.

Because electricity is so cheap in NY, many prospectors have settled there and citizens are now suffering from it.
To counteract this, an authority has now allowed electricity producers to charge higher prices for minerals. This only works because the power stations there are in the hands of communities and they are consumers and producers at the same time.
The problem here is that only a certain quota is available, if this is consumed, the electricity has to be imported and the costs increase by 54%.
In some villages/cities mining has already been banned, which of course has an effect on the value...
The new, more expensive tariffs are only intended for customers who purchase a lot of electricity but have nothing economic to contribute to the area.
It is not uncommon in America for electricity prices to be adjusted to specific sectors. In Colorado, electricity prices for weed cultivation were increased in a similar way, as the plants require a lot of electricity but hardly create any jobs.
